
Annemiek Hoogenboom
Annemiek Hoogenboom worked for Postcode Lottery Group from 2005-2021. She was involved in setting up People's Postcode Lottery in Northern England in 2005. The Lottery moved to Scotland in 2007 and expanded further into England and Wales in 2010. She was Country Director in Great Britain until 31 December 2020. From 2016 to March 2021, she was Managing Director of the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie. Annemiek was Company Director New Business at the Postcode Lottery Group from March to August 2021.
Annemiek demonstrated a remarkable talent for securing a licence and starting a Lottery from scratch. Her perseverance and faith were at the heart of the successful launch of the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie.
She was instrumental in approaching Nelson Mandela as the first international ambassador of the Postcode Lotteries.
She received multiple awards in recognition of her work, including the Women's First Award in the category Leisure in the UK (2014), the prestigious Rothschild medal in honour of her outstanding fundraising for the environment (2016), and the 2018 Inspiration Award from TheirWorld. In 2019, Annemiek was knighted in the Royal Order of Oranje-Nassau, in recognition of her contribution to human rights and sustainable development.
