The Postcode Lottery Group has once again achieved outstanding results. Could you share your thoughts on the significance of these accomplishments?
"We are delighted with the achievements of the Postcode Lottery Group. Our success is not solely ours – it belongs also to our loyal players and the thousands of good causes we support. Everything we achieve year on year is made possible with the commitment of our 1,500 colleagues across five Postcode Lottery countries.
In these turbulent times, civil society organisations play a crucial role in building connections, initiating change, and providing individuals with hope and actionable opportunities. We are proud to play a part in empowering them and enabling real, lasting, positive change. It is also remarkable to see how our winners' lives have been positively transformed, creating a ripple effect that benefits entire communities."
Unrestricted, long-term funding is a cornerstone of your approach. Can you elaborate on the importance of this strategy and the impact it has on the organisations you support?
"Absolutely. Flexible and long-term funding gives organisations the freedom to plan, innovate, and execute their projects effectively. We believe in the power of trust, enabling these organisations to channel their resources where they are most needed. By providing stable financial support over an extended period, we empower them to make strategic decisions that lead to lasting impact. It's not just about immediate results; it's about creating sustainable change and transforming people’s lives in the long run."
Collaboration seems to be a key aspect of your success. How do you ensure that the partnership between the Postcode Lotteries, its players, and the charity partners remains strong and impactful?
"Collaboration lies at the heart of our work. We are fortunate to have a vast network of enthusiastic player communities who believe in the power of collective action. Their loyalty and generosity make it possible to support a diverse range of good causes. Our donations to neighbourhood initiatives contribute to social cohesion. Additionally, our close relationships with charity partners are based on a shared commitment to a better future."
With civil society organisations playing a critical role, how do you envision the future of philanthropy and social impact?
"We believe that collaboration and innovation are key drivers of progress. As the Postcode Lottery Group, we are committed to exploring new ways and make a positive difference. I look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for us and the positive change we can create together with our players and the organisations we support. Our goal is, and always will be, to engage with millions of Lottery-players to help improve the lives of people all over the world."
